Recently we were asked if we'd like to review some of The Trash Pack merchandise. If you're not aware of The Trash Pack the characters are "the gross gang that live in your garbage" and the main toy element consists of "Trashies" - little collectable figures that come in foil packets, complete with their own trash can.
I was well aware of The Trash Pack toys as my little boy had put them on his Christmas list. Father Christmas decided he had been good enough and brought him several little foil packets along with a Dunkin Dumpster. He's played with them a lot which is why I decided to accept the invitation to review some more of The Trash Pack merchandise.
The bundle I received included a duvet set, backpack, sticker book, silver foil packets (there were three but someone snaffled two of them before I got near them...), trading cards and a Trashie Families card game.
As already mentioned the toy element is these little fella's that come in the foil packet. There are around 100 of them to collect.
We've already got quite a few and they're a great pocket money toy as the packets normally cost around £1.99.
I'm sure you're already aware of trading cards and these need no explanation really but basically you buy these small foil packets of cards - there's over 100 cards to collect - and they feature all of the characters in the gang. The idea is you collect as many as possible, trade them with friends and you can also play a game with them. There is a binder starter set available to keep all your cards organised and safe. My children really enjoy trading cards and I like them collecting something as I find they're just enough for a small treat instead of buying sweets and chocolate for them!
Sticker books are always a huge hit and this one is no different, with not only over 1000 stickers but also lots of puzzles to complete inside. Alongside the Trashie Families card game, both of these are great things to pack in a bag (indeed the back-pack pictured above has been put into play!) for a holiday and because my son already collects the toys he was more excited about these cards than he'd normally be about a card game!
Last but not least - the duvet set. Now I'd normally have a picture of this in use on the bed however I've had to be diplomatic with this. When I buy new bed linen I have to get one for each child. The problem is, my children love new bedlinen (what can I say, they're my children...) and if one of them go into their bedroom and find a new duvet cover on the bed, the other will rush to look at their new one. Clearly, I could have a mutiny on my hands. Therefore the Trash Pack bed linen actually hasn't made it on to the bed yet, however I have got it out of the packet and just know my son will love it. The set comprises of a single duvet cover and one pillowcase. One side is bright green with a close-up trash can image and the other is absolutely covered in brightly coloured Trashies! He'll have a hard-time deciding which side he wants on display!
We love the Trash Pack in our house and I'm positive our collection will just keep on growing!
