Just for fun - The Disney Tag!

It may have escaped your notice (maybe not) that I'm a big Disney fan, always have been, so when I saw this Disney meme taggy thing on the English Rose from Manchester blog I couldn't resist joining in.

I'm going back to Disneyworld next summer and I cannot wait - expect to hear me blethering on about it lots over the next 14 months! It's going to be a long year....

1. A scene in any Disney movie you wish you could experience.

When Belle dances with the Beast in the ballroom. Swoon. That would be a special moment. Plus she gets to wear a big rockin' ball-gown.

2. An unforgettable experience moment you've had at the parks.

My daughters face when Sleeping Beauty/Princess Aurora told her that they looked so alike they could be sisters. She was only 5 years old and it made her day. On the same tack, when my son, aged 4, met Woody in Frontierland at the Magic Kingdom whilst wearing a Woody t-shirt. Woody made guns with his fingers and did a cowboy shooting thing at my little lad which still brings a tear to my eye when I think about it. I'm such a softy!  I ummed and ahhed about taking my children when they were so little but it was absolutely the right decision - even if they don't totally remember it when they were older, they had a great time and it was an experience that I will never forget.

3. What non-Disney song(s) reminds you or brings back memories of Disney and or the parks?

Definitely Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus. It's not strictly a Disney song though I suppose she may have been a Disney artist when she recorded it? Either way, it reminds me so much of travelling on the boat from Port Orleans Riverside to Downtown Disney as they played it every time to boat docked - and when we were there in 2011, we made that journey a lot!

4. When was the first time you went to a Disney park?

I went to Disneyland Paris in 2001 which I enjoyed but it was nothing compared to my first visit to Walt Disney World in Florida in 2004. I had wanted to go all my life so it was the realisation of a huge childhood dream!

5. If you could choose any of the characters to be your best friend who would you choose?

Mike Wazowski because he'd always make me laugh, although the Genie from Aladdin would be a pretty cool best friend.

6. Who are your favourite Disney princesses?

I think Belle is my favourite, I was certainly most excited about seeing her myself but I do have a soft spot for Ariel too.

7. Name a scene/moment in any Disney film that never fails to make you cry?

Can I include Disney/Pixar because Imma gonna! The scene that never fails to make me cry is the the part in UP! where you see Carl & Ellie's life. Oh my word, that killed me the first time I saw it.  I also shed a rather embarrassing tear at the cinema at both Toy Story 3 (when the toys all hold hands at the end) and Brave (it was the mother/daughter relationship that got me!).

8. What is the first Disney movie you remember seeing?

Lady and the Tramp, I think it was also the first one I owned on VHS and I'm pretty sure I had the audio book of it too. Maybe my parents were secret Lady and the Tramp fans, I don't know but I'm still a big fan as are my children!

9. What is your favourite Disney movie?

Ooh such a hard question. For may years it was Snow White & the Seven Dwarves but I'd probably pick Beauty & the Beast if I had to pick a princess-themed film or Monsters Inc for a Disney/Pixar one.  However saying that Tangled was great and I love Finding Nemo and I still have huge soft spot for Lady and the Tramp...

I'm not going to tag individuals in this but if you're a Disney fanatic, please feel free to take this and run with it! Do come back and leave a link below if you answer these questions yourself, as I'd love to see it!
