Happy Monday everyone!
How did your meal planning go last week? Everyone stick to it? I have to say mine slipped a little due to illness in the house which means some of them will be made this week. Both myself and my daughter succumbed to a virus which made us both very lethargic and headachy with a loss of appetite but we seem to be recovering and I'm hungry today, which is a very good sign indeed!
Last week was a BUMPER week for Meal Planning Monday (even if four of the entries were from BareNakedMummy...) and I do hope that all the new joiners will stick with us. I enjoyed spending half an hour last night reading through all the meal plans and being introduced to some new fab blogs along the way!
Right. The meal plan. It looks a little like this
Battered sweet and sour chicken with rice
Spaghetti bolognese
Chicken fajitas (Jamie Oliver recipe)
Fish pie
Slow cook steak and mushrooms, with dauphinoise
A curry of some sort
I also plan to make a coconut and lime cake, and if I have time a rhubarb, pear and vanilla crumble - depending on whether I can get rhubarb or not obviously!
The Linky is below, let me see your plans!

ReplyDeleteSorry you've been poorly, glad you're feeling better now. Am really enjoying joining in with MPM x
ReplyDeleteLiking the sound of coconut & Lime cake. I need cake inspiration. I am in a chocolate cake rut at the moment.
ReplyDeleteI like the sound of your Steak and Mushroom dish. I have restarted my meal planning for the new year - will try and post a link later.
ReplyDeleteI am new to this blogging world! Looking forward to reading your blogs in future

Sorry to hear you haven't been feeling too well, hopefully the worst is behind you now! Chicken fajitas sound delicious, especially made by Jamie O. :)
ReplyDeleteI've done mine! x
ReplyDeleteMine seems a bit messy but I couldn't help it, I like food!
ReplyDeleteI should think more about my meals as well.
ReplyDeleteThe 'Slow cook steak and mushrooms, with dauphinoise' sounds interesting.
we always make those Jamie fajitas - such a good recipe
ReplyDeleteHello, I love how you post your meal plans and so many of the ideas are great. I also tend to use Jamie Oliver recipes (they are easy to replicate at home and very often fast to do). I'm a new member of the bloggosphere and will be checking in regularly on At Home with Mrs. M.
ReplyDeleteI'm inspired by the fish pie. I'll take a look at the recipe and try to do it myself as well.

Haven't got a relevant post to post yet! But can say that we are eating the same large meal almost all this week (Clever Cottage Pie made with half the beef - so goes further - and loadsa pulses and beans, with sweet potato & swede mash). I like the look of this and will link up soon! -HMx
