When I was pregnant with my first child one of the items I most enjoyed shopping for was baby changing bags. All the other stuff, well they were pretty dull purchases but the bag was for me and well it was as much of a fashion accessory as it was a necessity and I hunted high and low for a really nice pretty one.
Of course now I don't need one anymore there seems to be so much more choice in the world of baby changing bags! It feels a little unfair, I won't lie. However at least when it came to picking a present for a family member recently the hardest part wasn't finding a nice-looking one it was trying to decide between all the nice ones.
The range of bags these days is staggering, they range from oh-so-cute to functional to bags that don't really even look like changing bags like the Bobby bag from Storksak.
If I had my time again, I'd be all over the Babymel bags. I absolutely adore this black and white Amanda bag. Not only is it stylish but it has a patent pending stroller strap feature, insulated bottle pocket, large outer pockets along with internal elasticated pockets, is wipe clean and comes with a padded changing mat. It doesn't get more practical than they does it and still manages to look good!
When it came to buying a present, I opted for the Pink Lining bags, similar to the one below. They have all the usual practical features mentioned but have a stylish vintage design, whilst remaining functional and hardwearing. It was certainly very well received so I think the recipient was happy with our choice!
If you're new to the world of babies and in fact changing bags, check out this video from the NHS with two mums talking about what they keep in their bags when out and about!
