I recently ran a giveaway on my blog, where the question I posed was "What would be your perfect girls night in movie"? Being the geek that I am, I decided to analyse the responses and do a Top 10, just for fun, because I love a girly movie!
I wanted to see if those films would be in my own personal Top 10 and guess what, there's no surprises! Man, we're a cliched, predictable bunch. Seems we all like to either sing our hearts out, laugh our tits off or cry like babies!
Here in all it's glory, the Top 10 Girl's Night in Movies as chosen by competition entrants. (I've obviously seen them ALL several times and have chosen my favourite scene from each to share with you).
Words can't express how much I love this film, and I find myself quoting it on a daily basis!
9. Ghost
I've never been a major fan of Ghost, though I've seen it a lot. I do enjoy Whoopi's performance in this film.
8. Love Actually
It's not Christmas without a Love Actually viewing!
7. Bridesmaids
Love, love, love Bridesmaids. I saw this at the cinema with a friend and we laughed so much.
Wahhhhh The Notebook waahhhhhhhh. Never have I cried at film so much! Why did nobody warn me?
5. Mamma Mia
Total feel-good film with plenty of opportunities for warbling.
4. Grease
An oldie but a goodie - everyone loves this, surely?
3. Bridget Jones
Entertaining, of it's time, I feel it's slightly dated now but still watch it whenever it comes on TV.
2. Pretty Woman
Yes! Don't you just love Pretty Woman? (Correct answer is: MORE THAN LIFE ITSELF)
1. Dirty Dancing
No surprises at No1. This film has everything - including a great soundtrack!
So, how do you feel about that list? Is your No1 Girls Night In movie listed there? I picked Bridesmaids as my choice!
