Deck the halls...tra la la la la!

Okay, I know I'm still a little early but well, I love Christmas and I'm already planning and getting excited. One of my favourite things to do at this time of year is look for Christmas decorations. It's a source of pain to my husband who has to put up more and more decorations arriving every year but I can't help it. I like my house to look like CHRISTMAS EXPLODED.

Since all the shops have now got their Chrimbo stuff online, I've been browsing and thought I'd share with you some of the things I'll maybe probably be buying.

Marks and Spencers

Always a favourite haunt and decorations normally always on a 3 for 2. I'm very much enjoying the Crimbleberry Wood theme this year.

John Lewis

Always my go to for Christmas decorations, John Lewis hasn't let me down this year. I'm particularly enjoying their Rural and House ranges and I'll be popping in this week to make a few purchases I think.

Not on the High Street

NOTHS is a great place to shop for things that are slightly different or quirky and they always have a great range of Christmas products. The only downside to NOTHS for me personally is the postage charges - having to pay a different postage charge for each item puts me off and consequently I rarely shop there. Even so, there are still things that have caught my eye this year.

From left to right...Felt Reindeer Head (£59.95), Personalised Mini Christmas Decoration (£5.00), Brussell Sprout Wreath (£39.00), Christmas Nativity Nesting Dolls (£21.95)

The Contemporary Home

I used to browse The Contemporary Home site a lot a few years ago but for some reason I've kind of forgotten about it. A recent Google search led me here and I was pleased to discover that they stock Gisela Graham, who is always one of my festive favourites.

What about you? Are you a real magpie when it comes to Christmas decorations? Seen anything nice? I just can't help myself. Thankfully, I'm happy with the theme I picked a couple of years ago (complete retheme from the gold & silver of the 2000's) and now just add a few bits every year but I'm running out of space to store them out-of-season. Yikes! Just a few small bits this year then...

  1. These look lovely. We have a silver, white and a bit of red theme going on our tree - not yet, obviously! - and we tend to buy one new tree decoration a year for the children so hopefully building up some memories for them too. The postage per item sounds like a pain. Love the puds x

  2. Great choices. It one of our Christmas traditions to choose a new decoration each year. We do have a look around but usually go to the local garden centre because they have gorgeous choices and the best Father Christmas around is there too.

  3. I'm also a fan of garden centres. I always do a big trawl - I have about 5 good ones locally so a good choice!

  4. Yes, I like to build memories. I guess that's why I've picked a theme and am sticking with it now, adding a few new bits here and there. I want them to get that nostalgic feeling when the decorations come out.
