Movie Meme...Computer Animations

Yes, it's that time again - Metal Mummy's Movie Meme! This week she's picked a great one - the theme is computer animations.

I knew straightaway which one I would pick. I love her choice, it's one of my favourites (ha, now you'll have to go and look at her blog to find out what it is...) but I am going with another Pixar creation...

Up!  I bought this on a whim as I thought it looked good, but I wasn't sure of the kids would go for it or not. Well, they loved it and so did I. I cried the first time I watched it - I'm not ashamed to admit it! We've watched it dozens of times and I never tire of it, in fact I think I'll be digging it out again tomorrow after this blog post.

The film is all about an elderly man, a widower named Carl a little wilderness explorer called Russell who travel in a floating house to reach a place that Carl and his late wife Ellie always dreamed of going to.

I defy anyone not to get a tiny tear at this scene!

If your eyes don't get a little bit wet, your heart has clearly been replaced by a SWINGING BRICK!

So there it is, my entry for this week - don't forget to let me know what you'd pick as your favourite computer animation and also go check out the other entries on Metal Mummy's blog!

love & kisses

  1. I'm with you. I cried at this. I was, if anything, a teeny bit let down because my best friend bigged it up SO much, but nevertheless, it's still awesome.

    I love Carl x

  4. I have seen Up and I cried and cried at the beginning. So romantic and sad. However, I was not as keen on the film once his wife died as I didnt really enjoy it then.
