(Royal) Wedding Fever!

I realise that I am probably the only person excited about the upcoming Royal Wedding but I don't care. I'm as giddy as a kipper and I just can't wait.  I'm so excited to see history in the making and more importantly...Kate's dress!

I am too young to remember Charles & Diana's wedding but have watched it many a time on TV and more recently You Tube (I'm a bit weird like that) and honestly? I am blown away by it. I doubt that there will be quite as much hype this time around as people generally seem to be so down on the Royals these days but I shall be in London, waving my Union Jack and cheering loudly for the couple, who appear genuinely lovely.

It may be tacky but I shall most definitely be buying a few piece's of Royal Wedding memorabilia and it shall be proudly displayed!  In fact I made my first purchase this weekend which I was stupidly excited about.

The William & Kate 1/2 pint mug from Emma Bridgewater (RRP £19.95).  I collect mugs from Emma Bridgewater so this seemed like a good choice for me as it slots in my collection nicely.   I was a bit miffed that it was a few pound more expensive than the mugs normally are but I liked it so bought it anyway.

I'm undecided as to whether I will buy any of the other Royal Wedding pieces from Emma Bridgewater but I'm definitely going to be buying the fantatic Royal Wedding Happyland set from the Early Learning Centre. Obviously for the kids.

I also spotted these rather fun alternative plates from KK Outlet in John Lewis this week. I quite like the "It Should Have Been Me" plate however I'm not sure the style would really fit in my house.  You can't really see on the bottom left picture, but that one is designed like a Facebook status!

So, how about you, will you be buying any Royal Wedding memorabilia?

love & kisses
