Meal Planning Monday (2nd September 2013)

Hello!

Well it's back to school this week for us and I guess the rest of the country too! I'm having mixed feelings about it really. I'm totally ready to get back into the old routine, I crave routine, but I will miss the children quite a lot. I've got used to having them here and I'm looking forward to the tiredness that will ensue from the increase in learning for them and of course the big shock to the system that going back to school always brings. There'll be tears and tantrums at bedtime, and that's just me.

The upside of returning to school is that meal planning will be back in full swing. To start with the routine will be all over the place and I'll have some spare time in the evenings but once the after school clubs get sorted I'll probably find I have no time to cook decent dinners again!

Anyway, there is a meal plan this week and it looks like this;

Buffalo Chicken Wraps
Keema Matar & Naan/Chapatis
Pear, Honey, Walnut & Pecorino Pizza
Spaghetti Bolognese
Jacket potatoes & variety of toppings

It may sound simple but I'm absolutely craving a jacket spud! It's all I can think about. Nutso isn't it? How can you crave a potato?

The pizza is a bit adventurous but I had it when in Florence and it was the best pizza I'd ever had in my life so I'm really keen to recreate it. Here's hoping it's a success!

Now it's your turn! If you're new to my blog or #mealplanningmonday all you have to do is this - write a blog post about your meal plan for the week and submit the URL of your post using the Linkytools below. If you've not got a blog but want to join in, that's fine - just leave a comment below telling us what you're planning this week.  Any questions, just holler at me via email (in the contact page) or on Twitter @madamding.

I need to start trying to drum up some interest on Twitter again. We had lots of new people joining in at the beginning of the year and I'd like to get it back up again so please do share as much as possible! The more people that join in, the more inspiration for us all!

Hope you all have a great week, whatever you're doing!

  2. Pecorino and pear is one of my favourite combinations. That pizza would be good with some rocket as well. Yum!
