Recently I was asked if I'd like to review something from Getting Personal - an online store that, wait for it, specialises in personalised gifts. As it was a gift for moi I selected something totally frivolous that I probably wouldn't go out and buy for myself, but something that would make a great gift - a heart shaped slate cheeseboard. I like hearts, I like slate and we all know I like cheese so a good choice all round I thought.
One of the trickiest parts was deciding what to have for the personalisation. I didn't want my name on it so in the end I plumped for our cheesy family slogan of "MORE CHEESE PLEASE!". In my book, you can never have too much cheese.
When it arrived, in a beautiful presentation gift box, I was very excited to see what it would look like and I wasn't disappointed at all. It's a great quality item, made from natural slate with a food-safe laquer and the personalisation was very tastefully done. The underside is lined so you don't need to worry about it scratching your table when you're laying out your favourite Brie and Cheddar. Definitely something I'd like to receive as a gift for myself and since browsing the website, I've had some great ideas for future presents for others!
The personalised slate heart shaped cheeseboard is available to buy from Getting Personal, priced at £24.99 including personalisation. It's normally despatched within 48 hours however you can even have it next day if you're in a rush!
