Well howdy, look at that, I've got a new image for Meal Planning Monday this week! I got a bit fed up with my blog last week and spent a long time tinkering before deciding to just stick with it for now however, I decided a new badge for Meal Planning Monday was required. What do you think?
The big news today is the snow - anyone got any? Not much to report here, a little bit of snow but no big snowfall which is unfortunate as I was hoping for a snow day today. However I heard a rumour there is more heading our way later today. Woke up on Sunday with a raging cold and today have bad chest and back pain - Mr M has kindly done the morning school run but I'll have to drag myself out to collect them later although I am getting a reprieve on after school activities as my dear husband is going to come home early to take them.
Thanks to everyone who has helped spread the word about #mealplanningmonday - we had a bumper week last week with 41 people linking up. Wowsers! I have fully intended to get round each and every blog on Sunday but honestly, a serious lack of energy saw me laying on the sofa watching 12 episodes of Cougar Town in one sitting. I'm sorry and I WILL visit all your blogs this week I promise.
This week we're properly back to the routine with a full schedule of after school activities, date nights and play dates which always screws meal planning up but nonetheless there is a plan of course and it looks a little like this.
Beef moussaka
Cottage pie
Lasagne
Homemade fishcakes
Chiili con carne
This may be for everyone else, I may well just be on the soup and crisps diet as that's all I ever want to eat when I feel rough.
Now it's your turn.
If you're new to my blog or #mealplanningmonday all you have to do is this - write a blog post about your meal plan for the week and submit the URL of your post using the Linkytools below. If you've not got a blog but want to join in, that's fine - just leave a comment below telling us what you're planning this week. Any questions, just holler at me via email (in the contact page) or on Twitter @madamding.
Look forward to seeing your plans - wonder if they're all as full of comfort food meals as mine!
PS my monthly recipe Link Party is still running so remember if you make something and blog about in January that, add it to the Linky on that page which you can find HERE.

ReplyDeleteSnap, we've got cottage pie and fish cakes on our plan, (with cottage pie having swapped from lasagne - too much pasta!). First time of joining in for me.

ReplyDeleteWonderful beat ! I wish to apprentice while you amend your web site, how
ReplyDeletecould i subscribe for a blog web site? The account helped me a acceptable deal.
I had been a little bit acquainted of this your
broadcast provided bright clear idea
My web-site; enquiry
I think that what you posted made a lot of sense.
ReplyDeleteHowever, what about this? suppose you added a little content?
I ain't suggesting your content isn't solid.
, but what if you added a headline to possibly grab a person's attention? I mean "Meal Planning Monday (14th January 2013)" is a little boring. You could look at Yahoo's home page and see how
they create news titles to get people to open the links.
You might add a video or a related picture or two to grab people excited about everything've written. In my opinion, it would bring your posts a little livelier.
