I don't know about you but I am a big fan of Lindt chocolate so when I was sent some samples recently, I was rather pleased to see this little cheery face looking up at me! The lovingly crafted Lindt Bear is a seasonal favourite and this year the Lindt Bear has pledged to raise £100,000 for BBC Children in Need, helping to support some of the most disadvantaged children and young people in the UK.
In the run up to the appeal, which culminates on 16th November 2012, there has been a special charity auction of limited edition porcelain Lindt Bears - each signed by a well known celebrity. The celebrities involved include Helena Bonham-Carter, Jessie J, Roger Federer, Sir Tom Jones, James Martin and Arlene Phillips. There are still a few bears up for grabs and you can make your bid by visiting the Lindt Facebook page.
Currently Jessie J's bear is up to a whopping £600 with two days left to go on the auction. If you're feeling generous, it could still be yours.
You can also help the appeal in another way, by visiting the Lindt Facebook page and clicking to "Share the Bear". Lindt want to get to 25,000 shares which will mean a donation of £25,000 and as you can see currently, they're at just over 17,000 so they need quite a few more shares! Get over to Facebook and help!
BBC Children in Need's live appeal show is presented by Sir Terry Wogan, Fearne Cotton, Tess Daly and Nick Grimshaw and airs on Friday 16 November. Don't forget to tune in. If you're doing anything fun for Children in Need this year - leave a comment and let me know!
It's wonderful that you are getting thoughts from this article as well as from our discussion made at this time.
