Meal Planning Monday (12th November 2012)

Morning meal planners!  What's the weather like where you are? It's wet and cold here today, Miserable Monday!

So first the diet update, 10.4lbs off over the last 4 weeks which I'm quite pleased about - still can't see where it is coming from though which is frankly a bit scary as that means I must need to lose loads more! Eep. I've been very good and started a bit of a fasting routine as well which means two days a week I am trying to eat under 600 calories that day. I did it on Thursday and as scary as it sounds it was manageable  Today is a fasting day, I predict I shall be chewing my own arm off come 6pm.  I'm not completely denying myself on this diet though and had a good weekend of hot dogs, baked potatoes, wine and hot chocolate. Need to be super good this week as Saturday we're going to Camden Market and that means lots of yummy food!!

Again this week I am going to try and stick to mainly vegetable based dishes as these are the lowest in fat and I can eat lots of veg to fill up. For the rest of the family there will be spagetti bolognese, some form of pie, pizzas, frittata and the little lady has asked for macaroni cheese - again! She can't get enough of it.

As per usual, I've put the linky below so do add your #mealplanningmonday blog post below and check out what others are planning this week. If you're new to #mealplanningmonday or my blog and are not sure what's going on - please ask!

It was nice to see more people joining in last week but keep spreading the word about #mealplanningmonday!

Look forward to catching up with your posts later this week!

  1. Well done on losing all that weight! You're doing brilliantly! I'm trying to diet too, but don't seem to be getting very far. This week I've chosen mostly Slimming World style dishes so I'm hoping they will do the trick. Good luck for this week!

  2. Fantastic job on your weight loss, go you! I really wish I could get my motivation back. I was doing great before we went away in August but I've lost it completely since we got back. Keep up the good work! :)

  3. Hi,
Am new to this whole blog business, but I do love them! I am trying to declutter my home and live more frugally: way too much stuff and toys in our house. I love cooking but have never planned before, and I always end up spending too much money and having to go to the supermarket again later in the week as I have run out of ingredients. Money is a bit tight at the moment so I have to cut down on my spending so am looking for inspiration! Would also love some ideas for the kids lunchboxes; we are a bit stuck in a ham sandwich and yogurt rut.
    All the best,
    Liz x
