Barclaycard Amazing May Deals

We all know times are tough at the moment and if you're looking to switch or perhaps take out a new credit card then why not have a look at the great top deals that Barclaycard have to offer right now.

I've had a Barclaycard myself for a few years now, I love their online facility and I've even managed to snag myself tickets to some great events purely because I've been a Barclaycard holder. Now obviously I wouldn't advise anyone to go and get themsevles into unneccesary debt but sometimes there are times when you need a bit of extra help or in my case, like the extra security that paying by credit card offers you.  Maybe you've got existing credit card debt? In which case a good deal on a balance transfer could help you out no end.

Currently there are four top deals available - but you need to move fast. These great deals will close to new applications at midnight on 31st May 2012.

  • Market leading 22 month 0% BT offer is now even stronger with the introduction of a brand new £30 discount on the transfer fee (for transfers over £2,500)
  • New 15 / 15 deal - 0% interest on both purchases and balance transfers for 15 months, an extra month improvement from the current 14 / 14 offer.
  •  The low BT fee card (fee of 1.6%) is extended to 17 months duration, increased from 16 months
  • A completely new, 0% interest on all purchases for the first three months with Barclaycard Initial, a product designed for those customers who are new to credit

David Chan, chief executive of Barclaycard Consumer Europe said:

“We’re very excited to be offering even better value and such a huge amount of choice to new customers; from those wanting to manage their money better, to those who are seeking to build a credit history.”

I often look out for a good deal on balance transfers as I've not always been very good at paying off my bill in full and I think that the 22 month balance transfer with £30 off the transfer fee is a great offer. In fact I don't think I've ever seen a card that has had 0% interest for so long!

"Those looking to manage their balances can now receive money off the transfer fee on the Barclaycard Platinum card, with which they can enjoy 22 months 0% interest on balance transfers. New customers moving over £2,500 will now receive £30 off the fee. The card comes with a variable APR of 17.9% and new cardholders will all benefit from 0% on the first three months of purchases."

I'm fortunate enough at the moment that my credit card debt is relatively low - and already with Barclaycard but if I were in a position to do so, that's the offer that I would be taking advantage of right now.
