An Easter surprise from Mr Kipling!

Mr Kipling recently contacted me to send me a surprise parcel. Well not Mr Kipling himself, but a representative. I was very excited about this as I love receiving mystery things in the post. I had no idea what was going to be inside the parcel but of course I expected some cakey goodness! I wasn't disappointed when I received the parcel as you can see above!

Apparently, according to research conducted by Mr Kipling, 83% of Brits find unexpected little things from a loved one the best way to bring a moment of happiness to their day and apparently women from Birmingham are the most likely to receive a surprise from a loved one. (Mr M, are you reading this??).  The happiness a random act of kindness can bring should not be underestimated. It doesn't happen nearly enough to me but I know that when it does, it can really perk up your day.  Things are looking up though, clearly it gets better with age as 1 in 3 women aged 55+ regularly receive an unexpected treat from a loved one!

I was sent a lovely box instructing me to "Enjoy an Exceedingly Happy Moment" and how could I not with a box like this?

I was not only treated to some exceedingly good cakey-goodness in the form of their seasonal Simnel Slices and St Clements Slices but also to some other lovely things like £30 to spend at Marks and Spencers on some flowers for myself or a friend. I didn't buy flowers, instead I used the £30 to share an exceedingly happy moment with my sister-in-law who has just had her first baby, by treating to her to some pink!

There was also a voucher to enjoy a day out with my family at some of the UKs best tourist attractions. I haven't decided where we'll use this yet but I suspect it might be Warwick Castle or maybe the London Eye and Thames River Cruise. Either way, I'll be sure to blog about my trip!

The slices got swiftly eaten as they are favourites with my children. When we got round to play with my little boys best friend we always take a snap pack of Angel Slices, the ultimate cake in their eyes!

Mr Kipling are also sharing their own moment of happiness by touring the country with a "cakemobile" touring bus which spontaneously dispenses the new Mr Kipling Snap Pack cakes for free. The tour started on 27th March and is touring the country for six weeks, visiting 125 locations so keep your eyes peeled for the chance to grab free cake - surely one of the happiest things in the world?!

Right now, I'm off to banish some school holiday boredom with the children with the Mister Maker collage set that the parcel also contained. I think that one is more for their happiness than mine...
