This really is a tough one. I'm not a huge TV watcher - I tend to find something I like then stick with it, or things totally pass me by and I get the box set. Gavin & Stacey for instance; I totally loved that programme however Series 1 and Series 2 completely escaped me and it was only when I bought the box set of the programme I realised what I was missing. The same goes for the The Inbetweeners and Outnumbered.
I'm going to have to pick Sex and the City as my favourite TV programme. Gawd, what a cliche! But it's true, I do love it and could watch every episode a million times. Well, perhaps not Season 1 so much, that one is a bit cringeworthy I'll give you that.

So there it is, my favourite tv programme and I'll leave you with a clip from my favourite episode from my favourite programme.
As always, please share your favourites with me - I might even find something new to watch!

PS Watch the clips for Outnumbered, Gavin & Stacey and The Inbetweeners - they're funny. However The Inbetweeners is filthy, so beware.
I love comedy and also have dvds of The Inbetweeners and Outnumbered. I also love the IT Crowd which has just finished a run.
ReplyDeleteI've also got box sets of Green Wing, Spaced and Black Books.
... And I love Dr Who x
Aw, great choice - I love that episode too! Sex and the City would definitely be in my top 5 favourite programmes but I think Friends would come in at number 1.
ReplyDeleteHouse, I think it's the best thing on T.V., and Hugh Laurie is fantastic in it.
ReplyDeleteI just watched the last series of IT Crowd and didn't get it at all! Of course I also love Friends, still funny even now! And I've never seen House - ever! Perhaps I should check it out.
ReplyDeleteFor consistency, it's got to be Doctor Who for me.
ReplyDeleteMine is slightly off the wall. I love, love, love the Swedish Wallander TV films that they have been showing on BBC Four. I've not been into the second series as much but I adored the first series although some of the episodes scared me witless and I cried at the last one for various reasons I won't explain in case you watch them. I quite like the Kenneth Branagh English version but the Swedish version is even better.
ReplyDeleteYES! I love Sex and the City and I get really annoyed when people dismiss it as fluff - it has its silly moments but it has intelligent and thoughtful things to say about women, about work, and about love.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite scene - I'm sure I've told you before - is in The Good Fight, when Carrie and Aiden fight about all his stuff in her house "You can stay here, with your shoe-eating dog, and knock yourself out putting on the Rogaine and the Speed Stick!" Sarah Jessica Parker's delivery cracks me up EVERY SINGLE TIME.
