You may or may not be aware that I am rather excited about the prospect of the new Sex and the City movie that comes out in May. I know not everyone is a fan of the show but I love it and for that reason I am going to inflict several Sex and the City related posts on you.
Over the next week or two I am going to share with you my favourite Carrie outfits from Season 1-6. There are some real corkers in there, but in the meantime, I am going to share a few of my favourite moments. It's hard to whittle down my favourites as there are so many but there are a couple that stand out to me the most.

I guess I still with my favourite every episode "I Heart NY" which is from Season 4. This is the episode where Big leaves for Napa, Samantha gets her heart broken by Richard and Miranda gives birth. I love everything about this - the outfits, the emotions and the music. Moon River - what could be more New York?
Another one from Season 4 - Carrie's 35th birthday and the one where they talk about becoming each other's soulmates. This is episode is alluded too in the fabulous new trailer.
The episode called "One" in Season 6 made me blub and blub. You can really feel poor Charlotte's pain and yet she gathers herself together to be there for her best friends child's party, even though it must be destroying her inside (and looks amazing too!).
One word - hubble.
"The Post-It Always Sticks Twice" in Season 6 is hilarious. "The day I got arrested for smoking a doobie ".
Miranda's wedding where Samantha breaks the news about her cancer. Blubfest.
The last two episodes of Season 6 "American Girl in Paris Part Une & Deux" go without saying. I could watch them over and over again.
If you asked Mr M what my favourite line from Sex and the City he'd know it was this one for sure. From Season 6 when Samantha meets Smith for the first time at Raw and he says "we'll start with a little amuse bouche" and Samantha retorts "I'd like him to amuse my bouche" It has me rolling around laughing every time, I am so juvenile.
Is that enough Sex and the City goodness for you? Do let me know if you are also a fan, and if you're not, well you might want to avoid my blog next week. Don't say I didn't warn you!
love & kisses

I love the one where Samantha dyes her lady garden! Always makes me laugh!
ReplyDeleteI am also VERY much looking forward to the new SATC movie. I'm surprised my DVDs of the show still work, they have been played so much. One of my favourite moments from the show is when Carrie and Aidan are arguing about his stuff and she shouts "You can stay here with your shoe eating dog and you can knock yourself out putting on the Rogaine and the Speed Stick"
ReplyDeleteOh yes, that is a fun one too vegemitevix!
ReplyDeleteRoisin, my box set is well loved too! I lost one of the DVDs once and I was devastated, it took my about 8 months to find it - it was in another DVD case.
Glad someone's as excited as I am! I think a new film requires me to rewatch the whole show again, for the millionth time! *gets out box set*
ReplyDeleteMy fave is "the real me" best feel good tv moment ever! Love when Carrie gets back up after falling on the catwalk, the music is great too. :)
I love SATC but I've not seen the first film - I really didn't want it to spoil what I got from the series (if that makes sense).
ReplyDeleteNickie, I don't think it does spoil it - the film was really really good. I was worried they wouldn't be able to pull it off, but it worked.
ReplyDeleteMight watch it tonight actually.
Ahh Sex and the City, how I love thee. Fab show, I have the DVD's and have lost count of the number of times I've watched them. I hadn't realised how soon the next film was coming out. Looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteOooh I love it. All of it. Have just had enough time to watch the first clip and now I want to go out and buy a t-shirt like Carrie's!! I have to say though, I'm not a fan of Mr Big so I hate it when she goes all gooey on him. Thanks for showing them - can't wait for the new film!
ReplyDeleteI saw the trailer for the new film at the cinema the other night - so exciting!! My favourite bit of the series? - "Go get our girl!" - gets me every time.
ReplyDeleteI love SATC - can't wait for the new one (and incredibly have been invited to a pre screening !!!)
