There's no place like home

Well arrived back from Wales and I couldn't be happier to be back in my humble abode. No offence to any of the Welsh population that may happen to be reading my blog, but I hated it! Yes, the countryside was pretty and there was some nice beaches but once you've seen it - well then what else is there to do? The towns were a bit dingy and I longed to be back in civilisation where I could at least receive Channel 4 and shop at Sainsburys. In all fairness I only went to North Wales, and my past experineces of South Wales have been far better.

I am going to start my update with a photo. I finally got round to taking a bump picture and this is me at 18 weeks exactly.

I had to buy emergency maternity jeans before I went to Wales, they are actually not too bad, and would be better if it weren't for the hideous blue bump panel that pokes out from underneath all my lovely tops. They also seem to make me waddle...

My mum and dad bought me a travel system last week, a Graco Quattro Tour Deluxe - its a monster and there was great hilarity I am told whilst trying to get the bugger into the car, but they finally managed it and I am not allowed to get my sticky fingers on it until January!

Still struggling to eat - anything with meat or chicken is strictly out of bounds so I am daily faced with the tough decision of whether to have a cheese sandwich or scrambled eggs.......it is getting a bit boring now and have branched out slightly by opting for a jacket potato on a few occasions. However beansprout still appears to have its obsession with apple juice and I am now managing to knock back around 5 litres a week - at this rate I will have no teeth left.

I think (think...) that I felt the baby move last night for the first time, it was like a POP in my lower abdomen, and I have never felt that before, so I am guessing that is what it was - have had a few more feelings since, so hoping this is the bubba making its presence known. My belly certainly feels more stretched these days and I swear I could fit a golf ball in my belly button!

love & kisses

  4. Woah! I'm really loving the template/theme of this site. It's simple, yet effective.
A lot of times it's difficult to get that "perfect balance" between superb usability and appearance. I must say you have done a great job with this. Additionally, the blog loads extremely quick for me on Safari. Outstanding Blog!
