Toy Review: Haba Sliced Meats (Biofino Wurstaufschnitt)

This is my third and final blog post reviewing products to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Haba, a German toy company. You can see my previous posts here and here.  As I have mentioned before  Haba manufacture and distribute good quality, mainly wooden toys for babies and children. The products are sustainable and use toxin-free stains whilst being colourful, fun and educational all at the same time. You couldn't ask for much more!

The final item I was sent to review was the Sliced Meats playfood set.

Haba produce a large range of pretend food from cakes & cookies to fruit & vegetables to donor kebabs! One of the ranges they do are items to make your own "sandwiches". This is where the sliced meats come in to play.  You can buy (separately) a sliced bread loaf and also cheese slices, allowing to children to assemble play sandwiches as they like.  The sliced meat set contains 15 slices of 3 different types of lunchmeat and 1 slice of tomato.  All the slices are made out of thin felt. 

Obviously it was a little tricky to fully review this item as we don't have any other Haba play food but I can see that the sliced meats would be an attractive piece of play food - I have to say the play food we do have has been money well spent as I don't think there is any other toy that has been used quite as much!  

The Haba toy food items are realistic and interesting as they differ from other play food items I have seen which makes them an attractive purchase to me and I'm sure that I'll probably buy some of this for my little niece when she's big enough!
