Howdy.
Before I launch into the weeks meal-planning, I want to just talk about this Google update that everyone's been chatting about recently. If you're not aware of it, then good on you and you stay that way, otherwise you may want to take notice of what I am about to say. Apparently, and I'm going to add allegedly as I don't really know for sure, you could be picked up on and penalised by Google for using the same blog post title as a number of other people, as Google thinks this is a bit spammy. Therefore my advice to you would be for you to make your blog post title for Meal Planning Monday as unique as possible. I can't help you anymore with this as in all honesty I haven't read much about it and quite frankly I'm sick of jumping through Google's ever-growing hoops. I didn't start blogging to worry about all this stuff and since Google are not THE LAW I shall carry on in my own merry way, and what occurs, occurs.
There.
Next order of business is of course the actual meal planning. Oh man I've been bad recently, I've fallen off the diet wagon and I need to get back on that horse. I've not put any weight on but I've taken my eye of the end goal so I'm going to be back on the strict calorie-controlled M&S/Waitrose meals this week! I just want to shift another 5/6lbs - that can't be too hard can it? For everyone else it's going to look like this;
Chicken casserole
Spaghetti bolognese
Macaroni cheese
Sweet'n'sour chicken and rice
Soup and crusty bread
Nice and homely? I'm going to use my soup maker for the first time this week to try out a new recipe. I'm not a fan of homemade soup, it just never tastes as good so if you've got a tried & tested recipe for something incredibly yummy, please do let me know!
Okay meal-planners - let's have it. What's on your plan this week?
(If you're new to my blog or #mealplanningmonday all you have to do is this - write a blog post about your meal plan for the week and submit the URL of your post using the Linkytools below. If you've not got a blog but want to join in, that's fine - just leave a comment below telling us what you're planning this week. Any questions, just holler at me via email (in the contact page) or on Twitter @madamding - I like to chat!)
As I've mentioned before the monthly recipe Link Party for March is active and so if you've make something that you want to share, add it to the Linky on that page which you can find HERE.
Look forward to reading your blog posts!

Very homely! My kind of menu! Our week is looking like this;
ReplyDeletePiri piri chicken & potato wedged
Bangers & mash
Chicken casserole
Veg pasta bake
Pizza & leftover pasta
Chicken kebabs, spicy noodles
Slow cooker meatballs
You know, you're the only person I've ever met that says they prefer shop bought soup!
ReplyDeleteBloody Google! I'm not a soup person, but I wish I was. I like the idea of it, the eating of it - not so much!
ReplyDeleteI wondered what Googgle update it was that seems to have spooked all the PR's and SEO's they've been driving me mad all last week trying to change links etc, but I didn't realise it would effect something so simple as a linky between bloggers, they obviously have way too much time on their hands and are desperate to completely control the internet!
ReplyDeleteI need to get back on the diet too as I've well and truly fallen off the wagon and can't stop eating! Good luck with the diet this week!
I love a good homemade soup. The trouble is even when I follow a recipe its tastes different each time. I have a bad habit of adding bits as I go along!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for hosting - you can't beat a good soup and great bread :-) Alice
ReplyDeleteI do love soup, but I may be on my own in hating carrot and coriander! lol x
ReplyDeleteI've been adding an extra bit to my MPM posts for a while to avoid this sort of issue. It's been a potential issue for well over a year but it seems like the latest update might have more impact.
ReplyDeleteAs for soup recipe, try the recipe for minty pea and potato soup linked to on my post. I personally think that stock can make or break your soup. The better quality you can get, the tastier the final result.
Great plan and Google just irritates the hell out of me too! I am also back on a soup kick - it's all of this SNOW and cold weather! Karen
ReplyDeleteLove your meal plan this week. Yum! For homemade soup I throw some veg, lentils & stock into my slow cooker...like you I think I prefer shop bought stuff. I need some recipe ideas!
ReplyDeleteGood post. I learn something totally new and challenging on blogs I stumbleupon on a daily basis.
ReplyDeleteIt's always useful to read articles from other writers and use a little something from other websites.
