Cold Wive's Tales

I may have mentioned before that I live in a cold house. A REALLY cold house. A combination of rural living, surrounded by open space, largeish rooms and the cost of oil heating means that keeping the cold out is a real battle for us every winter.

I'm pretty sure we've done everything we can to keep Jack Frost at bay but just in case you're struggling with the cold this winter I wanted to share this infographic from Everest who are sharing their 20 toastiest tips to warm up your home and also cut down on your energy bills.

Find printer-friendly versions on the Everest site.

This infographic is provided by www.everest.co.uk.

Hope your house is warm and toasty tonight - and if not, now you know what to do to improve it and hopefully save yourself some pennies too!

PS Just so you know, I was not paid to share this info with you, I just thought it was really useful information.

  1. I am a big one for adding an extra layer of clothes instead of turning up the heating. We do have old fashion draft excluders at all the doors and we also have a curtain hanging at the kitchen door to help with keeping heat in. We are just about nto head intop winter here down under so soon be time to bring out the blankets and snuggle down for the dark cold nights ahead. thanks for the reminder and tips
