Mexicano fun with Dominos Pizza

I was recently asked by the good people at Dominos if I would like to try out their new Mexican range. Being somewhat of a pizza fan it was too good an offer to turn down so I basically snapped their hands off!

I may have mentioned in the past I live in an ever-so-slightly rural area which means that a pizza home delivery isn't really an option for me and poor old Mr M always gets sent out to collect. I always use the online ordering system though because I quite like to track where they are with making my pizza. Sad but true.

We decided to call on this offer when we were starving and short of time last week. I chose two individual pizzas for Mr M and myself so that we could experience two different types.  This where I also tell you that I ordered garlic mozzarella sticks, a big bottle of Diet Coke and some Ben and Jerry's. Yes, I said we were hungry. The whole bill should have been something like £36 but they had a great deal on which gave us £10 off so it came to £26. The good thing about buying online is that when you've filled your basket it alerts you to any offers that match what you are buying and you can select which one you want to take advantage of.

We opted for the Beef Mexicano and the Vegi Mexicano. The Beef Mexicano is made up of ground beef, chorizo, red and green chillies, tomatoes and onions whilst the Vegi is made up of sweetcorn, green peppers, spinach, red and green chillies, tomatoes and onions. Both then have a generous drizzle of sour cream over the top.

The pizzas were delicious as always. They were really tasty and only slightly spicy so they didn't blow your head off but still had enough of that Mexican flavour. I'm always a fan of a spicy pizza so these went down very well.

Dominos also sent me everything I need to have a Mexican themed party balloons, Mexican flag bunting, lots of sweets and of course a pinata to put the sweets into. Due to holidays we've not had time to have a full-blown Mexican extravaganza yet, but we liked the Mexican pizza so much I'm sure we'll be having them again soon. Besides the pinata has a cute face and I don't feel able to beat him with a stick just yet.

I've named him Enrique. He lives in our airing cupboard.
Don't worry, when we get back from our next holiday and I'm suffocating under a pile of laundry, I'll be ordering another little Mexicano special and I'll definitely share with you our attempts at beating the living daylights out of poor little Enrique. If you're very lucky, I may even do a video...
