I had fully intended to write this blog post at the weekend but I don't know where the time went to. Perhaps I was too busy scoffing these DELICIOUS CHOCOLATES!
When I was asked by Hotel Chocolat to pick a gift from their new Christmas gifts range to review I already knew what I would choose. For me it had to be The Sleekster Classic Christmas Selection - a box full of yummy festive chocolates including some of my favourite tastes like gingerbread and cinnamon. But that's not the only reason. Oh no. It was because I knew from last year that the Classic Christmas Selection includes this little beauty -
The Mulled Wine chocolate. Full of traditional winter spice flavours of cinnamon, clove and bitter orange with a generous splash of warming, ruby red port. Last year these only seemed to be available as part of the Selection boxes and I used to spend a good part of my week hanging around in Hotel Chocolat waiting for the free samples of these (just don't tell them, okay?). This year on the Hotel Chocolat website they've started doing the Selector Range online and I'm really hoping that the Mulled Wine gets added to this range. The Selector Range make great stocking fillers by the way *hint hint*. They're only £3.50 each and I wouldn't be adverse to finding a couple of Amaretto Truffles at the bottom of my stocking.
Of course it's also filled with lots of lovely other flavours, my particular favourites being the Cherry Florentine, Ginger Cheesecake and the Cinnamon Praline. There are also some that are slightly more unusual like the Chilli Truffle and the Sea Salt & Caramel Bauble.
As you will know from previous posts, and perhaps my waistline, I'm a big Hotel Chocolat fan and the Christmas gifts live up to their usual reputation of quality and luxury. I'd be pleased to receive and of course, give any of this as gifts!

The Classic Christmas Selection contains 28 festive chocolates and retails at £22.00 and is a lovely gift for someone, or maybe even yourself!
Now here's the really good part...
Hotel Chocolat are going to give one of my lovely readers their very own Classic Christmas Selection! All you need to do to enter is leave a comment below telling me which item from the Hotel Chocolate Christmas Gifts range you'd like to find under the tree this year. Please also send a quick email to hello@athomewithmrsm.com so that I am able to contact the winner.
For an extra entry, tweet as follows:

After the giveaway has ended your email address will be deleted and not used for any other purpose. The prize will be sent direct from Hotel Chocolat. This giveaway is one entry per person and open to people in the UK only. Sorry!
The giveaway closes on Friday 11th November 2011 at 5.00pm and the winner will be chosen at random.
Good luck, and in the meantime, why not visit Hotel Chocolat's Facebook page or follow them on Twitter for news, competitions and updates.
