Princes Breakfast Review + Giveaway

Five-a-day. How many people actually achieve that? I try, very hard to make sure my children do and I am very fortunate that I never have to fight them to eat fruit and vegetables - because they happen to love most varieties! What I've never been fully aware of is how much a portion of something actually is and thanks to the lovely breakfast box that Princes sent me and the information that was included with it I now what counts as one of five-a-day.  150ml of juice, one slice of melon, half a can of pineapple chunks, two plums, half an avocado = each of those is one portion.

That there is my breakfast box. A delightful crate full of goodies that included table mats, bowls and cups, a kitchen timer, a relaxing candle, a colouring book and some money off vouchers and not forgetting the most important aspect - a selection of Princes juice and tinned fruit.

Princes prides itself on offering good value, great quality food that the whole family can enjoy. From canned fruit for your cereal to pure fruit juices for a refreshing morning drink, pack your cupboards with these trusty Princes products and you can whip up a healthy, delicious breakfast in minutes.

I'm a big fan of tinned fruit and store cupboard juice. It's perfect for when you've run out of fresh fruit, or if like me, your local shop is RUBBISH in that department. I'm not entirely sure that everyone out there is aware that tinned fruit counts as one of your five-a-day but it does and it's a great way of making sure you hit that target.  For me, breakfast is the perfect time of the day to pump the children full of fruit!

Checking out the Princes website gave me some new ideas, for instance, I'd never thought of using tinned fruit in a smoothie! But now it seems so obvious and my children love starting the day with a Peach and Orange smoothie and I love it for being so easy to whip up when you can just have the ingredients sitting in your cupboard, no peeling and slicing (and way cheaper than ready made smoothies too!). I have plans to try one or two other recipes too so watch this space!

In the meantime, how would you like to win your own breakfast box?

The decline of the East side blues scene was disheartening, but,
it also gave rise to the need for a fresh start, which came in the form of the next blues-only venue, Antone's, founded by the late Clifford Antone, during the summer of 1975.
